The quality of a decision making process will dependent on the knowledge of the decision makers about the past and the information he or she has about the future consequences decision being made. To make the right decision, especially in those situations where there are so many objectives and decision criterias to be met, is off course very difficult and risky, if we have not use of the right decision making process or methodology systematic. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a procedure to be use to analytically make the right decision, especially where there are many objectives and decision criterias to be met. There are 4 (four) steps or phases which should be taken when implementing the AHP procedure : i.e. process of building the hierarchy, process of determining the priorities, process of synthesis and process of determining the consistency factors and finally off course choosing the right decision based on the AHP process result. In this paper, the procedures and examples are discussed in detail. |
