It is a challenge to sustain a dynamic Science and Technology Management Information System (STMIS) in Indonesia. The benefits of this three years project for supporting various strategies of the country are obviously significance during its duration. There is a question mark after the project finished. A sustained dynamic STMIS project, in the field, would face some typical problems of developing country, i.e., undermanaged institution, lack of skill and less professionalism of human resources, inefficiency and maybe long-winded bureaucracy. So that, to overcome those limitation, for the first step commitment is needed to make the project sustainable. This small paper attempts to present a brief contemporary perspective of National Statistics Collection to integrate with STMIS. |
