| The provincial government of west java, Indonesia, was founded in 1990 in accordance with the government act no. 1/1750. Bandung was selected as the capital city of west java. Historically, the importance of bandung went beyond the bounderies of the province, infact beyond Indonesia. As some of you may recall, President Soekarno organized an international meeting of Asian and African Leaders in bandung (1955). This meeting was, then, known as the bandung conference, which resulted in a consensus called the bandung spirit, namely a political brotherhood among Asian-African Leaders against imperialism and colonialism all over line world. |
