Isi artikelThe revealation of cognition process in translation is so unique. Many of the strategies and attempts remains unxplored based on the pedagogically-driven and sociocultural context. Unlike many of the studies in translation process by learners, the inclination of using L1 is probably used by the learners to overcome the problems on syntatic and semantic level of the translation. However, learners finally could completed their task by writing the paragraphs as required. These strategies are highly influenced by the way learners encounter the unfamiliar words and sentences they found in the media and translate them to English and put it into writing. This paper discusses the product-based writing based on the translation process by students of STKIP Surya Serpong Tangerang. It comprises 25 writing products that learners submitted during ESL course in one semester academic year 2014/2015. The discussion will be based on choesiveness and choherences of the translation based on the written expressed in the paper.
