Isi artikelThis study is the result of community service (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat - PKM)) in the field of writing workshops for students of School of Theology (Sekalah Tinggi Teologi - STT) Cipanas, Cianjur regency, West Java. Scientific writing is an intellectual activity that aims to produce a paper that is helpful in the development of science. Scientific writing is an essential part of every human being in every academic college. Therefore, both faculty and students must be able to develop scientific writing skills. The training aims to overcome the problem of the low interest of the students to write a popular science article. The benefits include students understand the ins and outs of writing activities popular scientific articles, and they are also encouraged to write popular scientific articles and submitting them to magazines or newspapers. In training, the facilitator first students realize that they are candidates for future intellectual. So, they must be able to express ideas clearly in writing. For that they are given variety of theoretical knowledge and practical instructions to write scientific papers. Theoretical studies followed by practice writing short papers and immediately corrected and commented on by the facilitator. At the end of the training the participants claimed more motivated and confident to write popular science and they hoped that similar activities can be carried out again in the future.
