Isi artikel
An attempt is made to optimize the LNA to enhance its performance by using the Taguchi method. The LNA design is mainly dictated by noise parameters Rn, ?opt and Fmin. These parameters are temperature and device variant. The variation of optimal source loading is also studied to acquire the desired noise figure and gain. The noise figure parameter, N is given by N= (F-Fmin) |1+ ?opt |2/ (4 Rn /Zo). The center and radius of the noise figure circle are given by C= ?opt / (1+N) and R= {v (N2+N (1- |?opt |2)}/ (1+N), respectively. The center and radius of the input gain circle are given by Cs=gsS11*/{1-(1-gs)|S11|2} and Rs={(1-|S11|2)v(1-gs)}/{1-(1-gs)|S11|2} while that of the output gain circle is Cl=glS22*/{1-(1-gl)|S22|2} and Rl={(1-|S22|2)v(1-gs)}/{1-(1-gl)|S22|2}respectively. The control parameters are optimized to improve the LNA performance.
