Isi artikelThis project sought to achieve a 30% reduction in time spent in arrangement of caregiver training sessions in a Rehabilitation Ward in SGH within 8 months. The team achieved time saving of 72.6%. Post implementation, nurses reported increased job satisfaction and therapists stated a reduction in mistakes and double booking. This project has an impact on various level of healthcare. Firstly, a competent caregiver facilitates safe and timely discharge. This will lead to reduced readmission rates which ultimately reduces healthcare costs. Another spin off from having an efficient caregiver training process is improved standards of care for the patients involved.
