Tata Steel has been practicing a structured daily management approach for all functions across the organization since last five years. While deployment of this has reached to a certain stage of maturity leading to stability of most of our parameters, it was realized that the process still needs further deployment to the front-line employees as well as deployment strategies specific to certain areas/processes with inherent trending, automated processes, adjusted processes, maintenance functions etc. This paper describes the approaches/initiatives taken by the company to face these challenges and sustain the daily management activities as well as the tangible effects achieved as a result of these activities.
