Isi artikelWomen empowerment is one of the 2015 MDGs goals. It prepares women having equal position to men in public areas, such as social, political, and economics. In economic sectors, World Bank in 2002-2009 reported that 87% of Indonesian total population already had internet access. However, just a small number of them have applied it for supporting their economic activities. The same case has occures to women as internet users. It was shown by the research result at Kampung Cyber RT 36. women have same opportunities to resource utilization, production asset management, and economic support distribution. Particularly in a digital era, all the processes are at ease by information and communication technology (ICT) usage. These are the main reasons for research team in conducting deep analysis using PAR method. The research has active subject participation in which men and women are integral parts. When the problem has been found, the program held to solve problems due to research subjects needs (Mikkelsen, Britha, 2001). Gender perspectives have been applied to crack the problem research. Diffusion Innovation Theory is chosen as a framework in understanding the reality (Rogers,1995). To develop women capacity, the team held programs such as training program and prototype website to promote their businesses. The research team has created “Bakulan RT 36” as a media based on ICT to support women economic empowerment. The site contributes Kampung Cyber RT 36 for women businesses to lead economic activities that could be adopted to other economic women empowerment. This article is focused on: (1) The reality that the ability of women in accessing internet is low (2) ICT literacy training program aims to increase women’s skills, (3) “Bakulan RT 36’ as a media based on ICT that supports women’s economic activities. It is expected that the research has significant contribution for women’s economic empowerment.
