Blood leakage detection system is important for the hemodialysis machine. The reliability of this system should be viewed as one of the most important attributes of the safety of hemodialisis machine. However to have a better understanding of how reliable a component is, it is most appropriate to express it quantitatively. In this work, reliability analysis using the MTTF calculation was used for evaluating the reliability of the blood leakage sensor. The results show that through the calculation of MTTF, the blood leakage system has been proven to be reliable component suitable for use in hemodialysis machine.
