The use of various perspectives in explaining the phenomena, will enrich the findings of theory or concepts, methodology and axiology of the research. This issue cannot be denied when resolving the social or the human behavior requires a holistic and fundamental analysis. At this time, the health sector including substances which widely studied through social and communication approaches. The phenomena of people health and health behavior is not solely a medical problem, but related to information, dissemination, intervention and aspects of the environment in which people interact with each other, which encourages total wellness. The aspects of intersection are why the essence of health research should be assessed from the perspective of social science so that becomes more unique and varied. Especially when viewed from the aspects of the environment and the human factor as a determinant of being autonomous in creating health for themselves. This paper describes some basic approaches of the social sciences such as Sociology, Anthropology and Communication to the people health phenomena.
