Isi artikelTheories of behavioral prediction and behavior change are useful because they provide a framework to help identify the determinants of any given behavior. The more one knows about the determinants of a given behavior, the more likely it is that one can develop an effective communication or other type of intervention to reinforce or change that behavior.Although there are many theories of behavioral prediction such as the Theoryof Planned, the Theory of Subjective Culture and Interpersonal Relations, the Transtheoretical Model of Behavior Change the Information/Motivation/Behavioral-skills model, the Health Belief Model, Social Cognitive Theory, and the Theory of Reasoned Action, a careful consideration of these theories suggests that there are only a limited number of variables that must be considered in predicting and understanding any given behavior. By focusing on these variables, an integrative model of behavior thatattempts to bring together a number of theoretical perspectives was proposed. Review on this theory is needed to prevail the advantages and justification of applying this theory to design healthy behavior messages in school-based nutrition education intervention
