A study on the nature of academe-industry partnership of HEIs, the areas and extent of partnership, the factors which influence the partnership, the mechanism of partnership and the benefits and extent of benefits gained in the academe-industry partnership and problems encountered of HEIs on their academe-industry partnership involvement and the recommendations to improve such partnership were given emphasis on this research. Through quantitative research approach, the study measured the level of involvement of HEIs on their engagement in academe-industry partnership using specific criteria and measurement based from modified instrument The researcher collected quantitative data using a survey from eighty-four (84) randomly selected HEIs in NCR. The university and college administrators—presidents, chancellors, vice presidents, vice chancellor, directors, school administrators, deans and a representative of the HE! served as respondents of the study. Based on research findings, the researcher concluded that the nature of academe-industry partnership were formal and long-term in most areas but low and limited in terms of involvement of HEIs; respondents moderately assessed partnership as factor that influenced academe-industry partnership; partnership mechanism was assessed low; benefits gained in such partnership was assessed very low; and given problems in such partnership were somewhat encountered. HEIs should work to strengthen their partnership involvement by expansion of existing areas and exploration of new areas of involvement that will pave the way to better academe-industry partnership.
