With the need to improve the quality of the Philippine education due to the realignment of the country's educational system to meet international standards, the country will implement the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) to make Filipinos as equally competitive like the citizens of other countries as well as to fill the gap between skills and demands of the labor market. The conceptualization of the PQF provides many benefits because of the standardization of qualifications. It is an action which aims towards attaining progress through education and training. With this new framework, there is a need to change the mindset of the Filipinos. Every Filipino skilled worker and professional must prepare for the requirements of the PQF for the achievement of the nation's progress and development as well as in meeting the ASEAN Economic Community 2015. There is a new paradigm shift; the international standard is now the national standard.
