In terms of the Rule of Law, the economy approach to law generally seeks to answer two basic questions, namely: the effect of legal rules on the behavior of relevant actors; and whether the effects of legal rules are socially desirable. In order to answer the two basic questions from the perspective of Indonesia's economic performance, the approach can be seen from the nature of economic reasoning and some fundamental economic concepts. It should further be related to the importance of the Rule of Law, both from the perspectives of its history, from the law as an autonomous practice, from the law as a tool to promote economic efficiency, and by taking into account some relevant fundamental principles.
