Isi artikelThe implementation of hajj pilgrimage needs excellent stamina. Weather and food taste differences between Indonesia and Saudi may reduce the intake of nutrients and cause the risk of low resistance and so susceptible to diseases, including tuberculosis. An increasing number of high risk elderly hajj pilgrims (JCH) is no longer just a positive action, but also bring negative effects to their health. The objective of this study is to analyze the risks of the elderly hajj pilgrims (JCH) with smear positive/negative. There are 312 samples of elderly hajj pilgrims all together who take the sputum smear examination at embarkation Laboratory 1433H/2012M Jakarta Pondok Gede, and found 1 person suffering from TBC. The method of this study is using observational secondary data. The results of the study found that the 305 hajj pilgrims are negative smear, six JCH who are positive smear, and one who is TB JCH's positive and is not allowed to go. The reason is that the person with positive TBC will spread the disease to others, and it is against the Indonesian government and WHO rules.
