Isi artikelThe method to determine material fatigue life is usually based on fatigue test. This method needs more longer time from initial preparation until its fatigue testing. In order to achieve the rapid result, it is necessary to develop another method that can be used to analyze the material fatigue life fastly. This paper will introduce the four point correlation method and the modified four-point correlation method in calculation material fatigue lufe prediction from data of its tensile strength. The results will be compared with the data obtained from its real fatigue testing. Heat treatment with normalized at 925 Celcius Degree in 15 minute holding time, and also annealed at 900 Celcius Degree in 15 minute holding time applied in hot-rolled steel SS 41. The result show that the predicted fatigue testing is about 5 - 17% lower than the fatigue testing result. the effect of normalizing and annealing will decrease the fatigue life, hardness and tensile strength.
