The current study investigated the correlation between language learning strategies in learning speaking used by the students and their speaking’s achievement from the score of Speaking for Academic Purposes subject. The participants in this study were the third semeter students majoring English education in a university in Bandung. Questionnaires consisting of the adaptation of Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) from Oxford (1990) and students’ speaking scores from Speaking for Academic Purposes were used as the instruments. The data then were quantitatively processed. The result of this study found that there was no significant correlation between language learning strategies in learning speaking and students’ speaking score. H0 of this study was accepted that there is no significant relationship between language learning strategies in learning speaking and students’ speaking score in the end of learning period. Therefore, different students’ will have different effort in order to enhance their skill in English, espeacially in speaking.
