This research is a study of translation from Google translates towards the Figurative Meaning. This study aims to describe how the meaning of Figurative Language translation Style on Google translate, in order that students do not rely on Google translate, especially in translating Figurative Meaning. Based on the writer’s studies that the meaning of Figurative translation on ‘Google translate’ still require adjustments to the source language is Indonesian or vice versa, for example: translation in Euphemism, Simile, personification and idioms. In principle translation is a rendering of a text into another language desired by the interpreter without changing the message or its contents. The translator needs mastering both languages, and figurative meaning from both languages (the source language – the target language), as well as vocabulary, tenses, sentence structure, grammar, idiomatic expressions, terms, phrases and socio-cultural background. As it was stated by Prof. Dr .ZuChridin Suryawinata that :“…to acquire the skill in translation from a source language into a target language, one needs to study some linguistics theories related to translation before doing translation. These theories will tell you what to do and what not to do so that translation activities can be more effective in term of time as well as its content.”
