Isi artikel
Indonesia is Slowly transitioning from the conventional economic model to the new creative economy model. Since the Yudhoyono era, Indonesia has put effort into developing a creative economy in hopes of boosting indonesia's economic gains. Aside from economic gains, however, there is an opportunity for Indonesia's creative industries to become the spearhead in developing indonesia's soft power. Developed economies in Asia, such as Japan and south korea, have already geared their creative industries to become agents of soft power. Indonesia's creatives economu should not only be considered as a means to obtain economic gains, but also as a source of indonesian soft power. Though the indonesia creative economy is dtill in its infancy, with the right policies and effort, it can possibly become a major problems that are inhibiting the growth of Indonesia's creative economy, mainly IPR protection and access to finance. Additionally, this paper also provides a two level policy suggestion. The first level of the policy is aimed at solving the problems to empower indonesia's creative industries, whereas the second level suggest ways to promote indonesian soft power on an international scale.
