Isi artikelBy entering 2015, a lot of people talking about the implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC/MEA), and estimate what the impact on ASEAN. ASEAN single market is in the same breath with the opinion of Adam Smith, that if economic actors can work fairly and efficiently needs to enactment of the free market mechanism. This paper normatively want to discover what actions should be carried out by Indonesia to comply with the AEC. The methodology in this paper uses the method of normative economics, which would explain the AEC by tracing the AEC blueprint that has been prepared and approved by all member countries of ASEAN. AEC has the following main characteristics: a single market and production base, the economic sector with high competitiveness, region with equitable economic development, and the area is fully integrated with the global economy. Indonesia as part of ASEAN, who entered the single market and production base, needs values to be achieved, is that the free flow of goods, the free flow of services, the free flow of investment, capital flows more freely, and the free flow of skilled labor. Everything is closely linked and mutually reinforcing each other.
