Isi artikel
The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of parenting behavior, friendship support, collective value affiliation, and gender on psychosocial development with a sample of youth from urban and rural areas from Taiwan (N = 787). We first applied latent profile analysis (LPA) to identify patterns of psychosocial outcomes. Next, a series of pairwise equality tests and logistic regression revealed the individual and unique effect of each predictor. We identified two patterns of psychosocial outcomes and observed significant associations between predictors and psychosocial development based on class membership. These results suggest that among all predictors, parenting satisfaction and friendship support were particularly predictive in an enhanced psychosocial development status.
