Kenneth boulding died in boulder, colorado, on march 19, 1993. He was born in liverpool on january 18, 1910. His reputation as an economicst rests on his divergences from and re interpretations of standadrd theory and on his attempts to broaden economics and to integrate it with the othe roscial and biological sciences. In particular, he is known for his work on evolutionary and ecological aspects of social theory. His contributions have been widely appreciated but often not fully understood.
