This literature review explored experimental studies that implemented AAC communication partner training programs to improve students’ desirable outcomes. Nine studies that met the selection criteria were analyzed. The content of each study was analyzed using Kent-Walsh and McNaughton (2005)’s framework. Each study used the first, second, and fifth steps, or any combination of aforementioned steps, in the Kent-Walsh and McNaughton’s framework. All studies used interaction promotion strategies.
