Information on the accessibility of the people to health care centers should be a major concerned for health planners and decision makers. This information can be used to plan for health care deliveries and ensure that the people could easily access public health care providers. At present, however, most of the health care centers are located within city centers which might be inaccessible for people living in remote location. This study applied a GISbased application to investigate geographical accessibility of colorectal cancer patients to health care centers in Kelantan State, Malaysia. Accessibilities were measured based on 2 km multiple buffer distance from hospitals, service area of the hospitals and origin-destination matrix. The findings revealed that some parts of the district had very low accessibility to health centers. Some colorectal cancer patients have to travel more than 3 hours to reach the oncology specialist clinics, which is located at the major city. The findings could potentially be used to plan for better health care deliveries especially to sparsely populated areas.
