The current research investigates the relationship between school climate and academic achievement for students in grades 7 and 9. The role of school identification was also examined as a predictor of academic outcomes and as a mediator of the relationship between school climate and achievement. The pattern of the findings varied depending on the domain of learning – writing, reading or numeracy.
