Isi artikel
This paper attempts to quantitatively measure the various influences on mobile phone adoption at the bottom of the pyramid (BOP) in a representative metropolitan area in Mexico. My goal is to understand the role of mobile devices as it has developed attitudes and patterns among users. The research looks for a better understanding of the users’ attitudes and helps to recognize market opportunities in the areas based on the most important motives among urban BOP consumers. This article finds different functional and social motives of the use of mobile phones across different levels in the pyramid of income.
