This study researched the APEC Edutainment Exchange Program (AEEP) which was carried out for multicultural education based on a blended-experiential learning targeting both students in Korean and multicultural families. With this case, the purpose of this study was to identify changes in perceptions and attitudes of the different cultures of the participating students. As well as to explore the implications for planning and follow-up studies of multicultural education programs with international exchange activities based on an experiential learning model. The title of the program of this study was '2012 Gokseong Global Overseas Multicultural Experiential Learning'. There were 126 participating students who had Korean and multicultural family backgrounds; 120 peer participants from China, Japan, Philippines and Vietnam. The students carried out pre-activities such as basic on/offline education, preparation Workshops, etc), on-site activities in 4 countries with multinational team-based projects and post-activities including an essay contest, conferences for sharing results, etc. To evaluate the results of this program this study carried out surveys (pre and post), interviews and content analysis of participants' essays. The research results can be summarized as following. First, the negative images which the participating students had had before they experienced this program were transformed into positive images. Secondly, after the program, perceptions and attitudes of the participating students in multiculture acceptance, sense of global community, service spirit, love of one's country(Korea and birth country) was improved compared to before. Third, with the interview and contents analysis of the essays from students who have multicultural family backgrounds we can see achieved self growth and more understanding of their parents through self reflection and visitation of their parents’ nation of birth. Besides, this study could find the following important factors as implications for multicultural education. First, the possibility of team activities based on experiential learning with peers abroad. Second, the importance of securing on/offline systems to support participating students. Third, well-organized structures and themes in AEEP for multicultural education. Last the necessity of having a reliable local support system.
