To know the students’ learning style is crucial since it can give information of how to teach and what methods, techniques, and activities will best suit their characteristics. This study focused on investigating the learning style preferences of post-graduate students majoring in both English and non-English in learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL). Moreover, the relationship between the students’ learning style preferences with their educational major was revealed as well. This study adapted the Perceptual Learning Style Preferences (PLSP) model proposed by Reid (1985) concerning the students’ perceptual and social learning style. The samples of this quantitative study involved 61 students who consisted of 30 non-English and 31 English students. The data taken from questionnaire was analyzed by using Chi-square formulation. It was reported then that there is a significant relationship between the students’ learning style preferences with their educational major (= 7.035, d.f 2, a=0.05). In term of perceptual learning style, the students’ preference of both groups mostly fell on the visual learning style. Meanwhile, in term of social learning style, it was found that English students tended to be individual learners while non-English students preferred to learn in group.
