In today’s world, computer has become an indispensable tool for translating source language texts into target language texts, particularly for achieving time efficiency. However, the results of computer-assisted translation still sacrifice the accuracy of the transfer of message of the source language. As a consequence, the human translator still need a lot of time to do the post editing. This article compares the results of several translation processes, i.e. finding words, phrases, sentences, whole paragraph, using google translate tool. The edited versions of the translations are also used as references. The aims of this study are (1) to find out which process produces the most accurate and time efficient translation, (2) to find out the differences of translation results from the four processes. As the materials for the analysis, two short articles in Indonesian as the source language texts and their English translations as the target language texts were chosen.
