Although congestion is getting worse every year, many of Depok's resident still prefer to use private vehicles. The cause of this is due to rational decisions of consumers, that consumers will use their personal vehicle when the benefits of the use of private vehicle is greater than its cost. To that end, this study would like to calculate tha tax potential from the diffeference betweem private vehicles trip cost and public transportations trip costs. Once calculated, by the average, respondents have a tendency to use public transport if taxes increase more than 2.72 times.
