Isi artikelIn the Philippine educational setting, there are several accrediting bodies such as the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) and the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). In which case, they have different levels of accreditation and separate mandated policies, procedures, guidelines and standards that may be unique and common in some cases. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has its Center of Development (COD) and Center of Excellence (COE) that demonstrate the highest degree or level of standard along the areas of instruction, research and extension for both private and public higher education institutions (HEIs). The professional licensure examinations by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). PRC is responsible for the administration, implementation and enforcement of regulatory policies on the regulation and licensing of various professions and occupations under its jurisdiction. Also, the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) for performance excellence may receive any of the PQA recognition categories. With all of these aforementioned academic performances in the Philippine educational systems, it is imperative not to ignore the international quality educational standards such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) involving quality management system (QMS), Safety, Environment, Information Technology, etc., and the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Ranking for both Asia and World to position the Philippine Universities in its competitive advantage. Thus, the current state reveals lack of integration and lack of a unified theory of the diverse perspectives in the educational quality management systems (EQMS). This abstract attempts to present an integrated conceptual framework of global strategy in standardizing a set of standards which helps reduce the ambiguity and confusion in the EQMS and that serves as a theoretical foundation for future research that embraces the concept of a GREEN Quality Management System.
