The absorptive capacity (ACAP), the green innovation and performance of the Philippine construction industry was investigated. Antecedents, dimensions and outputs were brought together to identify the mechanisms that can influence the green innovation and environmental performance surrounding the firm. The primary source of data comes from the survey questionnaires that were sent via electronic mails to the construction companies located in the Philippines. It was an assessment of the environmental attitudes, management and performance that can help the researcher to investigate the mechanisms that mostly affect the Philippine construction industry. Moreover, linear regression analysis was used to analyze the results from the survey questionnaires. Applying the ACAP model, it was identified that it can be used for measuring the green innovation and performance of the Philippine construction industry. Thus, this has resulted to a revised ACAP model, the green ACAP. The green ACAP can serve as a framework to improve the green practices within the construction industry.
