Isi artikel
With “visual management”, one of TOYOTA’s production methods, spreading over, “visualization” has been used as a management technique and brought higher productivity. The technique is mainly used in the manufacture field. However, company-wide tackling is demanded today, and the indirect department (administration) also calls for the technique of “visualization.” In the indirect department, business flow charts etc. are used for business improvement, and the department puts stress on seizing of the present conditions. These tools lack the viewpoint “time axis” of which duty and how soon office workers should do, which makes it impossible to analyze the work flow quantitatively. Because much deskwork consists of non-fixed-form duties, it is considered difficult to represent the time flow of duties, but it was thought possible to represent the stoppages and their time by time period. Therefore, for the administration department the author, et al. tried development of a business improvement tool to make the stagnation of the department visible by reflecting the concept of “time axis”, a characteristic of the management methods in the production field, in the tool. Our business improvement tool is usable for business improvement because it can grasp the work time and movement time of office workers quantitatively.
