Isi artikelStudent response systems (SRS) have become quite common in today's classroom, often in the from of either "clicker" device-based systems or Internet-based systems. However, other classroom response technology do exist and one such technology is discussed here via case study--the leser pointer. Rather than an indirect system of displying questions and then gathering the students responses through server-based technologies, laser pointers support students directly pointing at their answer among those presented on-screen. While the use of laser pointers rather than cicker/Internet systems provides some interesting new interactions, this case study indicates that it does lack one strong benefit that improved attendance can bring to students in a class.
