Isi artikelSustainable construction is a topic that emerges in the world construction as a respond to the global warming issue. The elementary principle is the usage of optimal energy in integrative way; begin at design phase, construction, utilization, and until deconstruction phase. Precast concrete construction is a construction system that meets green construction criteria, because applies the usage of material and construction method that optimize energy consumption during construction. Research of energy consumption and environmental influence of several construction systems were conducted at low cost housing construction in Batam, The construction systems are: conventional system, half precast system, and full precast system. The result of this research is expected to be an input to all national construction stakeholders, in order to start to consider energy optimization consumption in construction, so it's can become part of sustainable earth movement.
