Isi artikel
The interaction between flexible structures and moving fluids, such as long span bridges subjected to wind loading, is a complex case. The wind induced force can cause aeroelastic instability to long span bridges. To predict the response of these long span bridges to the wind loading, the aeroelastic parameters need to be identifying. These aeroelastic parameter properties of the bridge deck section are disclosed by aerostatic forces and aerodynamic derivatives. This paper presents the flutter analysis of the Suramadu cable stayed bridge based on the eight experimentally extracted aerodynamic derivatives. In the analysis, the aerodynamic derivatives were utilized to determine the flutter velocity in the motion equation of the bridge deck. The analysis results show that the critical flutter velocity based on the flutter derivatives was confirmed by the experimental test results.
