The effect of strorage methods of Trichoderma for their viabilty and antagonistic activity against soil-borne pathogenic fungi was evaluated. Each plug of mycelium cultures of T. koningi strain T1, T. reesei strain T13 and T.harzianum strain T27 were stored in 5 ml glass tubes containing 50% glycerol and kept in refrigerator at 100C and 200C for 15 months. The isolates were stored in the same method but in paraffin liquid and kept in refrigerator at 100C. All samples were tested periodically in every three month for their viability and antagonistic activity against Rigidoporus microporus and Ganoderma philippii strain GD2 using dual methods culture. The results showed that all Trichoderma tested were still highly viable when stored in 50% glicerol for 15 months at- 200C. After 6 month storage time in PDA slant agar, T. reesei performed the highest antagonistic activity against G. philippi compare to the other species of Tricoderma. T. harzianum which were stored in the same method showed the same antagonistic activity against R.microporus.
