This paper is a report on using a foreign language for spontaneous communication in an elementary language class. Correction free, peer communicative-interaction activities should follow the Paulston (TESOL Quarterly, June 1971) MMC structural pattern drilling if autonomous language use is to be achieved. Such interaction proves exhilarating and highly motivating for students due to its realistic CornrnuN. cative force. Four such activities are outlined according to procedures, objectives, and evaluations.
