Isi artikel
Brief laboratory quizzes provide a partial solution to some of the problems associated with the use of language laboratories-irregular attendance, inattention, lack of application by students, and lack of relationship of lab practice to class work. At the end of each lab session, students can be given recorded tests designed to elicit written responses, which are later sent to the teacher for grading. Though additional teacher time is required for the preparation of the quizzes, this system of testing in creases lab effectiveness by freeing lab personnel from attendance enforcement, stimulating students to participate more actively in the lab, increasing teacher preparation in lab activities, and helping to integrate lab practice with student performance in class. (Samples are given for several types of test questions in French.)
