The following article identifies a variety of possible language methodologies and examines the effects these have on the learners. A sample questionnaire is included, whose purpose is to discover how students have previously been instructed in foreign language. If foreign language educators use the questionnaire, students and teachers can most likely expect an improved transition period between the junior high, high school, and college levels of language study.
