Isi artikel
The Norman French dialect of Jersey is in a slate of language obsolescence. This study outlines some of the principle structural changes which have occurred in the dialect as the result of its contact with English. Speakers of the dialect have been divided into four groups based on their ability to use the idiom. English has had an impact on various aspects of the phonological, morphological, syntactic and lexical structures of these groups. (Language obsolescence, language shift, Norman French dialect, languages in contact).
