Isi artikelThe role of forestry plays in the world sustainable growth and the environmental preservation including the prevention of the global warming and the reduction of landslides is large. Although there are rich forestry assets in Japan, the price of Japanese timber plunged and the forestry management has been declined since the trade liberalization of construction wood materials in 1964. From the viewpoint of forestry regeneration, it is the best that planned afforestation, disafforestation (felling of the timber) and the supply to the market are available throughout the year. Therefore, some drying technologies are suggested for stable supply of the domestic timber, and the one is that timber immersed in water for certain period of years and then naturally dried. The timber processed with this method is robust and has good workability. In this proposal, we report that the properties and quality on timber processed with the combination of underwater in three years and natural drying technology. The main results are as follows. (1) The moisture content is a level which satisfies market circulation standard. (2) The time series change of weight (instead of moisture content) can be approximated to a generalized linear model. (3) The deterioration such as check, distortion and insect damage varies on the type of wood
