Because cancer is the most common cause of death in Japan, it is necessary to develop a precise method of evaluating the cancer care quality. In a previous study, we designed surveys to evaluate the quality of a cancer care platform by combining 3 aspects of identifying quality with 6 clinical phases. However, there was a problem in that the wording of the survey questions was not tailored to the medical care site and the research results were difficult for respondents to utilize. In this study, we proposed the following method for evaluating the quality of a cancer care platform. 1. Analyze results of the survey for application in the specific cancer care platform 2. Structure the aspects of identifying quality 3. Ensure points 1 and 2 are reflected in the survey By applying this method to our previous survey, we confirmed that the current condition of the cancer care platform could be better understood by revising the wording and subdivision of questions to better reflect the aspects of identifying quality. Therefore, we were able to develop a method to evaluate and analyze cancer care platforms using the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle. The method proposed in this study could applicable to areas other than operative treatment of colorectal cancer, such as pharmacotherapy and other types of cancer
