Fishery is one the natural resorces that have contributed to the fisheries sub-sector activity in the city of Bitung. Most of economic activity of Bitung city society oriented in marine fisheries sub-sector. A variety of fishing effrot and fish utilization of Bitung City, enchange economic growth through economic activity in aggregate, especially for commodities such as fish seed Skipjack (Katsuwonus pelamis), Tuna (Thunus Spp) and Scads Fish (Decapterus sp). Some fishery commodity-based activities ranging from use of comodities as industrial raw materials to processing into finished products. Activities in the fisheries sector and industry became the largest contributor to the economy of BitungCity, as well as being the largest absorber of labor, not only for residents of Bitung City, but also the surrounding areas. Thus the direction of policy-based development of fisheris resorces in Bitung City needs to be examined in order to streamiline and optimize the utilizatio and management of fisheries resorces.
