nowadays, becoming teacher is not as easy as cooking noodle, teachers confronted with a mixture of expectation. Based on law no. 14 of 2005 about teacher and lecturer, teacher should be professional educators whose main duties are to educate, teach, supervise, train and evaluate learners. As professional educator, teacher should have four competencies. From competencies they know what their duties are. Moreover teachers are acknowledged by colleagues, students, parents and school principal. The heavy description make teachers should consider their selves to be a professional teacher. This paper describes definition of professional teacher, who considered as professional teacher, what elements that contributes the teacher professionalism and how to be a professional teacher. Therefore, as a teacher, they have to know who they are, they have to know what they should do and how to reach their professionalism.
