The purpose of the present study was to test the construct valdity of scores based on the five - factor structure (i. e. the five power biases) of the rahim leader power inventory (RLPI) when administered to student clinical supervisees. A sample of 276 female graduate students enrolled in clinical practica in speech - language pathology provided perceptions of their supervisors' use of power. Factor analytic methods were used to identify factors for comparison to those that had emerged in the RLPI standardization study of a national random sample of 476 executives. The five - factor structure of the RLPI was substantiated witht hese clinical supervisees.
