Isi artikelIndonesia Institute of Sciences (LIPI) is one of non-ministeries agencies engaged in the field of research. These research results in the form of products, technologies, and services. The research results have different characteristics with other physical products. The results of this research will need to be attempted in order to be utilized by the industri or the user, thus requiring its marketing efforts in the speed. The issue examined in this study is an effective promotional marketing model used by LIPI in market technology and services produced. Based on these problems, this study aims to describe the effectiveness of promotional marketing model used by LIP I. The approach used is the descriptive study of qualitative. The data source of the study is the result of observation activities in the Centre of Innovation LIPIfor one year. The collection of data is done with the technique of observation and technical libraries. The results of these observations indicate that the technique used marketing promotion center of Innovation in market research LIPI is a technique of socialization through the open house, industri forums, and exhibitions. Based on these findings, the advice given to the Innovation Center is to develop LIPI effectiveness model promotion through the promotion of appropriate techniques to support marketing, since proper promotion can generate expected out put is clear, so that it can support the LIPI to develop themselves, to face competition in the future.
