We proclaim the God of life because we know Jesus Christ, who came to give life in all its fullness (John 10:10), and because we experience the giver of life, the Holy Spirit. My task is to relate the theme of this ecumenical conversation, “Evangelism Today: New Ways for Authentic Discipleship,” to the theme of the assembly, “God of Life, Lead Us to Justice and Peace.” I approach this challenge as an evangelical, as a mission theologian of the Holy Spirit, and also as a scholar of Korean studies.
