There is a short story in which some engineers changed the position of a particular artificial island. The captains, who had not changed their maps, kept crashing against the rocks of the new island. Adjusting to new landscapes means, necessarily, navigating in different ways. Together Towards Life: Mission and Evangelism in Changing Landscapes (TTL), the new mission affirmation of the Commission on World Mission and Evangelism (CWME) of the World Council of Churches (WCC), responds to changing landscapes in the world, in society, and in the church, designing new courses for mission.
